This is a very fun, fast paced adventure story in which four young teen boys take
an adventure on a magical flying and sea faring boat. Along with a Magician and Mahra, a shape shifter,
they go on a quest to save the world.  They are on the side of Order and have to battle to keep Chaos and Order in balance.

Through their travels the boys will eventually all gain powers of their own to help them battle the evil Chaos demons that they must overcome to balance the world again. The reader is introduced to several different places they travel through and meet a variety of people and characters that bring imagination and humor to the story.

The group must fight together, become strong and brave to find the three crystal skulls they will need to save the world. The author takes no leniency when it comes to the battles, scenes and  descriptions in the world building.

It's hard to choose a favorite character with this group but because I am a cat-lover myself I must vote for Mahra. There was barely a scene that she was in that didn't make me smile.
